Troubleshooting

The password isn’t in the list

It may be saved in a different browser, profile or Google/Apple account. Check each one.

It asks for a password I don’t know

That’s your device login or Firefox Primary Password. Reset the Primary Password if forgotten (this deletes saved logins).

Is it safe to store passwords in my browser?

Yes, if your device and account are protected with a strong lock and 2FA.

Summary

Open Google Password Manager (Chrome), Edge Passwords, about:logins (Firefox) or the Passwords app (Apple), search the site, and reveal the password after verifying it’s you.
