Frequently asked questions

I forgot my Gmail password. How do I change it?

You need to recover your account instead. Go to g.co/recover and follow the steps.

How often should I change my password?

Change it straight away if you think someone else knows it. Otherwise, a long, unique password with 2-Step Verification is more important than changing it often.

Summary

Go to myaccount.google.com > Security > Password and set a new, unique password.
