A paper wasp is a projectile shot from a rubber band.

Steps

  1. Get a standard size sheet of paper (A4, 8.5" x 11") and cut it in half.
  2. Fold one of the two pieces in half.
  3. Fold this in half again.
  4. Continue to fold the piece until you get a small, thick piece of paper about 5 centimeters by one centimeter.
  5. Fold that in half.
  6. Find a thick rubber band and use the fold in the paper to hook the paper wasps onto the rubber band.
  7. Grab the end of the wasp and pull back.
  8. Let go to release the wasp.

Alternate Method

  1. Fold a post-it note in half (preferably the hamburger way).
  2. Fold it in half again so you have a rectangle (2.5x1.9cm).
  3. Fold diagonally (corner to corner) once.
  4. Fold up (bottom to top).
  5. Fold it in half.
  6. Shoot it with a rubber band.

Tips

  • This works best with thick rubber bands.

Warnings

  • Don't shoot at people or animals - this could cause injury.
