How to Dress up and Decorate Your Average Jeans!

image

Are your old jeans boring? Jazz them up with these tips!

Steps

  1. Here's a really cute way to decorate jeans: Make up a fake name that sounds like a cool french designer name, like Luc De La Francois, and practice writing that name in the coolest cursive you can do on paper. Once you've nailed it, write it diagonal on the thigh of your jeans in a really cute sparkly gold or silver fabric paint or marker. It will look like you've got a hot new pair of designer jeans!
  2. Add funky patches, sayings, hearts, flowers, etc. to your jeans.
  3. Have everyone you know sign your jeans!
  4. Add cute random pockets all over your jeans by getting little squares of fabric, then sewing the two sides and the bottom of them to your jeans so that there's a little opening at the top, just like a pocket! It will look cute, plus, you can wear those jeans instead of having to carry a purse!
  5. Or get some dull colored thick yarn and rip holes in your old jeans. Then sew them up -but not tight- so that some skin still shows through. And if you really want to jazz them up get a really tiny can of white paint and splatter a little on your jeans. -Note only do this if you rip holes to otherwise it looks weird-

Tips

  • de-hemify the bottom of your jeans to a) make them longer and b) give them a good frizz at the end that looks rustic.
  • Putting seed beads on them is a good idea
  • fade them out: mix bleach and water, put into a spray bottle, and spray anywhere you want yr jeans lighter.
  • You can usually get cute iron-on patches at the dollar store

Warnings

  • Don't go too crazy with your jeans, like putting everything altogether- it will look cheesy and just plain dumb.
  • If you mess up, you can always turn your jeans into shorts, a skirt, or even a purse.
